Eric and Yocelyn's mother had been hospitalized long-term with tuberculosis and complications of diabetes. An older brother works to provide for the children but without their mother's income the children have been reliant on donations of beans and rice for their food. They have had to quit school because they can not afford the tuition. Their mother, Elisa, has recently been released from the hospital but doctors caution her not to go back to work yet. We have been able to provide the children with food and clothing, and provided for school supplies, uniforms and tuition. We are helping provide Elisa's insulin for her diabetes and working with her to begin planning for when she can return to work.
