We built a new home for Juana Manuela with our BMCC team in August 2007. She and her children had been living in an adobe home that had been significantly damaged by Hurricane Stan in 2005. One of the BMCC team members has also provided funding for a school scholarship for Juana Manuela's daughter and other projects. Shield of Faith Ministries has recently completed a chicken project for Juana Manuela that will give the family meat to eat and a source of income. Juana Manuela's youngest son has extreme dental needs and malnutrition that has made him ineligible to attend the public school. A dentist coming in the near future will address his dental needs and a source of income will assist Juana Manuela in being able to provide healthy meals for the children.
